you see you miss the point. Easy to do. I can see why you did.
One's own "medical care" is not a Health Care System.
Our costs were sky-rocketing. The SYSTEM fails. That most of the rest of the world has a better system and the MONEY in the US refused to give up their share of the pie. I have posted the following a gazillion times. Pharm and Insurance lobbyists swarmed Cap Hill the Spring/Summer the ACA was being conceived. These lobbyists informed the politicians that if the phrase PUBLIC OPTION was mentioned then Lobbyist money would assure their imminent retirement the following election. EARLY Spring (rough time frame) Public Option IS on the table. By summer it is never mentioned again.
THAT piece of the pie US reliance on private insurance model is what ensures we PAY MORE AND GET LESS.
Where else in your life do you support a system that costs more and delivers less?
25 yrs ago the QUALITY of our medical care was first in class. It is not anymore. Best in Class care - Germany. Best in Class system (though very pricey) - France.
Best over all system - slam dunk - Canada. Very simple do as Canada does.
PROBLEM - Big MONEY loses their piece of the pie.
