The benchmark isn't 'can he do alot better than Kim Anderson'. Of course any legit candidate would be a resounding yes.

Crean is a good coach....when his roster fits what he needs. Recruiting is so crucial for him to be successful, because when he doesn't have the right mix of players he just has a very bad season. Our roster currently is entirely inadequate, and our recruiting is non-existent. Hopefully he is able to land the kind of talent he got previously here, but if he doesn't he won't succeed.
