search firm helps generate interested candidates and go from there.

It seems like the second Alden got used by his dream candidate (Painter), he pretty much just gave up. He got lucky with Haith, but fact remains that was a head scratching hire.

2 straight hires no other power 5 school would have made is unprecedented.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
