Coaches have a lot less control over their success. That's not arguable, I'd rather my career be predicated on grown, educated men/women than it be predicated on kids, referrees, compliance officers, and cheating tutors. Both jobs are hard, but being a CEO you have way more control over your fate than you do as a coach. Look at Ben Howland and UCLA as an example of why coaching can be absolutely unpredictable and unforgiving.
