These guys get paid as much as many CEO's. I guarantee you that if my company performed as poorly as our basketball team has, he'd be gone in 3 years. I don't think the board of directors is going to say, well, he just got his own people in so call this year 1 after three years losing a bundle of money.
Coaches get paid a lot to win. The scrutiny is part of the job.
