Kim's 3 years here - what they need, these last 6 or so
games.
Was hired late,(June 2014, I believe), thus had little choice but to deal with the recruits and players Haith had left behind. Didn't work, unfortunately, his attempt to coach these players. Kim had his way, they had theirs, and what resulted was 2 losing seasons.
That brings us to year 3,(that one which interested and influential observers such as Jim Sterk and Norm Stewart consider to be his first). 7-18, 2-11 in the conference, not good, not good at all. For Kim to get more time, a person has to believe that these players of his,(particularly the sophomores, his first real recruiting class here), have improved and will improve more into the future.
Showing this improvement to the people that need to see it? Take heart pro-Kim people, the opportunity is still there. Beating a good, NCAA tournament type team, finishing out close games, finally winning one on the road - this last half of February going on into March, in my opinion, these are the kinds of things Jim Sterk NEEDS to see.
