Given that the last two hires have been:
(a) A slimeball from nowhere and
(b) a good guy from even further in the weeds
All Sterk has to do for a majority of the people to consider him having done a good job with this is:
Find a good, solid, mid-major coach who has had success over a several year period. There will be plenty of those guys. He should have identified probably a half dozen or so already.
Do his due diligence on them. Sign the one that he feels best fits.
At this point, an average Division 1 coach would be a huge upgrade. It cannot be difficult to hire an average Division 1 coach to Mizzou.
