and there is a record of the debates and conventions. It was not meant to be interpreted based upon current meaning, but the meaning of words and phrases and intent of the time of the debates. That's why it is a dead document

And that is why you, DH, JG, etc., get it wrong, especially when you invoke the commerce clause
