Not many coaches inherit gold; there's generally a reason why coaching positions are open.
Frank Haith did in fact inherit a senior-laden team his first year, and he made hay with it. The flip side of that is that after that year, all he had coming back was Laurence Bowers coming off injury and Michael Dixon, who turned out to be dismissed. Nevertheless, he won 23 games, and then another 22 games the year after.
Frank Haith was far from perfect, and it could easily be argued that he left the program in worse shape than when he got here. Fine.
But what's Kim Anderson's purpose? If he's brought in to right the ship, then ****ing right the ship already. Rather than making a slow turnaround, he's been asleep at the helm while the ship runs deeper into oblivion.
Righting the ship may take some time, but there should be at least glimpses of promise to come. There have been none, from the first loss to UMKC, to never winning a damned road game to losing at home to UNC-Nowhere and Southeastern Illlinois State Tehcnical school.
If you want to talk assistant coaches doing jack sh*t, take a look at what Kim's brought with him. A bunch of nobodies with ZERO division 1 experience - you'd think this would be a top priority for Kermit - including Corey Tate who apparently did a better job recruiting to SLU than he did to Mizzou
