This was a while back but the Border Patrol agent giving us the tour described people that want to come in as like prisoners. You give them seemingly nothing and they'll find a way to cause mayhem. There's a wall for TJ / San Diego area. Now in fairness this was 2004, but that statement from him has always stuck with me.

I'll tell you something else: The agriculture industry in extreme Southern California produces almost all of your winter veggies...carrots, broccoli, sprouts. Those guys are ****ed without illegal immigrants. Americans aren't picking veggies in a field.
