Maybe the coaching fraternity would frown on humiliating a former player by firing him mid-season, and by letting him coach the remainder of year would give confidence to future candidates that they would not be compromised by pressure from fans and media. There is no reason to fire Kim other than to appease the disgruntled who want something done now. Perhaps the team would be galvanized, and would win a couple games, but does this outweigh the possibility that interest for the position could wane if coaches believe if they do this to a former player they will do that to me in a a heartbeat? Right now we are battling the perception that our athletic department is fragile and unstable. Ultimately this is the reason we are in this position in the first place. I want Anderson gone tomorrow, but I'm willing to wait if it means we have a plethora of option down the road. We have to get this hire right, and lots of money may not be enough.
