in our largest population centers are the most popular choices for the state's spending their disposable income. The Cardinals, Chiefs, Royals & Blues are the easiest first choices because they're in the backyards of the largest number of people.

A telling graphic would be a heat map showing the populations of each state relative to the site of the actual schools. It would be great for Mizzou if our population center conincided with the university location. Having the vast majority of of our population over two hours away doesn't help nor does the Babbs legacy of sinking the department and essentially taking a twenty year pause while others were moving on. A period of winning at a high level could wake things up & grow our numbers but there are definitely challenges we have that many we compete with do not.
