College basketball is not like football. It doesn't take 5 years to rebuild. In one year you have the ability to recruit good enough talent to compete or you can take what you have and coach them better than the last guy. KA has done neither. Haith was a terrible game day coach so KA should have been a significant upgrade in that regard.
I wanted KA to be the answer. He's was a great player and is a good man. Bottom line is we have considerably less talent than when he started and he doesn't seem to be able to coach the lesser talent up.
It's not getting better next year, We have what appears to be a very good point guard coming in next year but no height. That is what we desperately need. Three years for an all Big 8 big man to recruit a guy in the middle who can make a difference and we have goose eggs.
Whatever point you are trying to make, give it up. Most were thinking it would take a least a 500 season for KA to keep his job and that isn't going to happen.
