is the lack of defensive intensity. Maybe that was wrong of me to assume it would get better, but I did. I see it in flashes - you'll see Phillips get mad and really go hard for a short stretch - if he played balls to the wall like that for as long as he could, caught a blow and did it again, we'd be much better. If everyone else played like that, we'd win some games.
Defensive mindsets are hard to nuture. Asking guys to do the dirty work and not the glory work and getting them to do it is tough. I think you either have to be a demanding a**hole (like Bob Knight and Coach K) or you have to be a guy who can really get his guys pumped and is a motivational coach. Kim doesn't appear to be either. Not sure his style will ever translate.
