That's who a large portion of our fan base wanted to run our Power 5 basketball program, to compete with the likes of Kentucky and John Calipari in the SEC.

And Ben Howland — a proven D-1 coach and ELITE recruiter — was begging for the job.

You can't make this stuff up.
