The NCAA and universities have taken advantage of players for years and years. They have made big money, paid the students much less than they have earned and have acted like they own the players. This is reminiscent of how employers treated workers before unions existed.
Universities need to be put on notice - you can hide behind your legalese and provide no answers to your players. You can play GOD in making decisions in a dark room.
But now the players know what leverage they hold! Right or wrong, they need to show how they can cost universities the almighty dollar. Now maybe universities will have to weigh the costs of making these decisions - as in, the players do have the strength to stand up to them.
