No, if Trump uses a specific tariff on a specific company as punitive response to a company leaving, I don't support it.
I support his reviewing every trade agreement we have, every corporate tax/regulation to discontinue the US govt propping up overseas production and cheap products in exchange for a massive US debt.
Time to level the manufacturing and trade playing field, pay more for goods here in the US but reduce the trade deficit, US debt.
He's using rhetoric and larger policy ideas to motivate specific companies that are sitting in a spot now that many others will be or are considering or which have already offshored.
My wife is currently training Indians to take over her entire departments' jobs. They will make $400 a month over there, 100+ people will be out of a job here. My wife will be fine, many others won't. But hey, they don't have trash pickup in India and it's disgusting to live there and they leave 6 year olds and younger at home all day when they go to work, so it's a free and fair global labor market, right?
