Nikko's absense was very noticeable, and the inside game sucked. The shooting just plain sucked. I actually was wondering if FIJI had his voodoo dolls of Mizzou players out and were yanking their arms as they were making shots. It was that bad. I think Nikko could have made the necessary difference if healthy, as the inside game was both hard to be found and mostly bad when it was.
The trend I've noticed.
It seems when we have more than 2 days to prepare, we play well. Games played with one day or less off in between we play bad, the exception being the 2nd half of the Tulane game. Perhaps the young men are not picking up the game plan fast enough.
We are still without Barnett for three more games. Once he gets a few games under his belt, we will get a better read on the true ability or lack thereof of this team as a whole. It sucks to lose a game we should have won with 2 players not in the lineup, but that's how the cookie crumbles.
