Relatively homgeneous population.
They have a king (or whatever Kim Jong-Un calls himself) Norway's king is primarily a figurehead...they aren't totalitarian.
Not a major player on the world stage....certainly far less a player than Norway.

The Brexit vote was primarily driven by fear of anything not British.

Germany has a refugee problem primarily driven by the sheer number of refugees, and not driven by where those refugees are coming from. If those refugees were coming from Russia, or Canada, they would be having the same kind of problems.

Social democracy would work extremely well in our country. We just don't have the guts to try.
