Relatively homogenous population (85 percent Norwegian from Norway....forever), they have a king, and a church of Norway. Not a major player on the world stage. Lute Fisk eaters and relatively peaceful. No military machine so they have to rely on others for protection historically. They are more like the UK or Denmark but I know you know that.
Problem for me is, how will that form of government work in our representative republic? Our Constitution was framed by men who CAME from Europe to get AWAY from authority. You know, being TOLD what to do, how to live. Even today, the Brexit vote was due to citizens being TOLD when they could turn on appliances. They had had enough.
For a similarity, Merkel just did a 180 on the Syrian refugees.
I am not going to judge your desire for social democracy, but I do not see how it will work here in a country of 330 million.
