He was in fact a bald faced liar and he had numerous broken campaign promises, many of which he clearly had no intention of keeping.
Not criticizing him for those broken campaign promises but hammering Trump before he is even in office for campaign promises you assume he will break seems to point to something of a double standard, though, no?
btw, for the record I was no fan of Trump and was trying to convince people to do what they could to stop him in the primaries. But once it came down to a choice between Hillary or Trump I think the clear choice was Trump. He was and is flawed. It is a roll of the dice with him. He could be horrible, or he could turn out to be reasonably good. Hillary, on the other hand, isn't all that much of a gamble. We know what we would get with her and it would be somewhere between terrible and horrible.
