Kim-level players who may or may not develop. Redshirting helps the staff develop and see if the player will be able to contribute. It's pretty rare at this level because usually players come in ready to play or contribute a little.
We really didn't have many other options when Kemp committed so spending the scholarship on him in hopes that he may work out won't hurt likely hurt us, especially now that Kim has taken the scholarship penalty this year. I would be pretty shocked though if he is here for 5 years.
