Why deport one that has made themselves a valuable member of society so you can let another in that will have to be trained and taught to take the place of the one already doing the job that you sent away?
Yes the US must have a policy and goals. Those that slipped past will be punished and it will effect those that hope to do it right, but doesn't change the goals, only the timing.
