"Hillary Clinton holds a 4-point lead over Donald Trump in the waning days of the volatile presidential campaign, but the race is tightening as Republicans rally behind their nominee, who many initially viewed with skepticism, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds.
The poll found that 44% of likely voters support Mrs. Clinton, while 40% support Mr. Trump. Some 6% support Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 2% support Green Party candidate Jill Stein. Mrs. Clinton's 4-point lead is less than half the 11-point edge she enjoyed in a mid-October poll, which was taken before the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced that it had found a batch of emails that could be pertinent to its investigation of the private messaging system Mrs. Clinton used while secretary of state.
I think policy should not dictate investigations - if there is a reason (not necessarily rising to the level of "probable cause" necessary for a warrant for search) to investigate, that investigation should not be delayed.
I understand Comey's interest in transparency and do not fault him for it.
