Mizzou SEC Failure

Since we've been in the SEC we have fallen to earth big league... the leaders of the school have failed. We've had three different AD'S which is unheard of it when you're in the SEC. That should tell you the real head honcho's aren't up to the task.

Going into the SEC they should have realized they would need a better baseball stadium. They would need a football only complex like Texas AM built. They would need to hire top level coaches and spend big money.

We've done none of that... we added a locker room to the baseball program, building a new softball field, and added some seats to the football stadium. Additionally we hired an old coach who's never coached a D1 program and has no recruiting ties to anything. Furthermore he's the lowest paid coach in the SEC and we're getting lowest paid results.

In football we did the same thing... instead of going for the big hire big coach who could recruit big league we instead went after a former player who also has no division 1 head coaching experience and is the lowest paid coach in the SEC. Lets face it his inexperience blew the Georgia game.

Also he's not lighting any fires on the recruiting trail and he made some really horrible decisions on coaching fires/hires. This comes with inexperience.

Missouri is NOT committed to being a big league sports school in the biggest conference in sports.

Missouri fans must simply admit we are the doormat of the SEC... we can't cling to anything but maybe softball. Every school in the SEC can cling to something like Ole Miss or Vandy with baseball, or loser Football Kentucky dominating in basketball.

We basically suck at everything.

I'm not supporting the team, not watching the games not spending two cents on these horrible teams until they actually show some real commitment to WIN!

WHERE DOES IT START...

1) Build a football only complex as good or better than all the other SEC schools. We are coming in after the fact which means we can copy and improve on what has already been done.

2) Fire and make a BIG SPLASH basketball hire. Missoui has some of the best facilities for basketball in the country. We deserve an aggressive younger coach will will recruit to win NOW! Not build some program over 10 years with 3 star players.

3) After Coach O fails to go to a ball game this year, and after the same results next year ... they open their football only complex with firing the coach and going after a big league coach who can recruit.

Once you get the football and basketball programs going in the right direction all the other sports will fall in line. The higher the profile of basketball and football the better the school will be.

Is it ANY mystery that the school is reporting a loss in students this year? They blame it on racial issues... FALSE sports attracts students as much as anything else. Your football is horrible and football is a laughing stock. At least Kansas can sell the basketball team. We can't sell anything.

MISSOURI HEADS OF STATE GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE SAND or LEAVE THE SEC and go back to the Big 12 they would take you with open arms. Then maybe we can beat the Texas Techs, Kansas, Iowa State teams and go to bowl games. Winning in the SEC is going to take a full blown commitment to winning something we are not showing right now.
