1. Maybe he'll be better defensively but as a rebounder and scorer I think he'll be lacking when compared to Namon. I know he's touted as a great rebounder but Namon was our leading rebounder last year and averaged nearly 10 PPG. I don't see him matching those numbers as a freshman.
2. I don't think this will be too hard to do. Gant was a role player on a 10-win team. Being better than that as a junior shouldn't be hard to do. I'm more concerned with replacing Rosburg's production than Gant's.
3. I think the gains for Puryear and Phillips will be minimal because of the large focus they were in last year's offense. I think VanLeer and Walton will see some increased numbers because both will see a substantial jump in minutes and shots available.
14-15 wins should undoubtedly get him fired. I'm sorry but we aren't Penn State or Rutgers. That is a terrible record in a 3rd year after winning 9 and 10 games the previous 2 years. Maybe if we were playing against a bunch of teams in conference that are experienced and would be rebuilding in the coming years but the teams that will be near the bottom of the conference this year are also really young with a ton of talent. Teams like Alabama, Mississippi State, and Auburn will be in that 8th-12th range too but will have a much larger upside with the talent they have been and are currently recruiting.
