...you didn't drink it all, however. It is my favorite beer to age! I bought a six pack yesterday, but I was able to buy a case last year, and I have about six of the 2013 and 2014 as well. It grows in excellence as it ages, but the most dramatic change is from fresh to year 1. Side by side tasting, a year does wonders. It goes from really good to great.
Also, I bought a case of Expedition Stout yesterday. I've got 2014 and 2015 vintages of it, too. I need to do a vertical tasting, soon, to make sure that I like the changes. Some stouts turn to prune juice as they age.
These don't stay on the shelf long. I couldn't have bought a case of the Third Coast yesterday, and the person after me would not have been able to buy a case of the Expedition Stout at Lukas. Yet, I was able to buy a six of the 2015 Exp. Stout the week before in Lowrents. Silly beakers.
