He knows that he can't put a low benchmark type of number out there because there is a good chance that is beyond Kim's capacity, and trying to make a reasonable benchmark that would interest the fans is going to be outside of the scope of what is reasonably attainable.

The program isn't in a state where you can say it is about specific win numbers. The remaining tasks for this staff really are to prevent off the court embarrassments, slow the level of talent attrition, try and prevent against historic levels of fan apathy, and enjoy the various vacation stops and job perks the role provides on its farewell tour.

By any normal definition of 'acceptable' for MU basketball, MU has no chance of achieving it. Not even as a best case scenario could we reach what would normally be considered between disappointing and failure.
