I recall him saying he had been planning for this opportunity for a long time and laid out to Alden exactly what he would do and his long term and short term approach. And then he came in so unprepared and overwhelmed, and seemed to put almost no level of thought or effort into the job.

There are certainly alot of aspects which haven't worked during his tenure, but I do agree that his disengaged manner of coaching and lack of in game participation has been one of the top failings.
