And he *had* to salvage those relationships that Haith started because he wasn't actively recruiting division 1 talent. Which is sort of the point about hiring someone who isn't in Division 1 to begin with. You can put KA in a huddle or in practice with great D1 talent and he'll be on par with the good D1 coaches, perhaps.
Hiring someone without pre-existing high level recruiting contacts & relationships means KA is (was) a lot more constrained from the outset.
KA did recruit Teki, I think he was a Fulford guy (who KA hired).
At the end of the day though, isn't the head coach responsible for the guys he brings in to the program?
