It's rare for a DII coach to go to DI, but not unprecedented. Often assistants get head coaching opportunities and they are in a similar situation.
Mizzou has always been a very timid university. I realize we have the benefit of hindsight, but it would have been better for program to have just written off KA's first year instead of trying to hold on to Fuller's recruits for a 'seamless transition' or whatever nonsense they thought was going to happen.
The KA hire was a bold, high risk move, that was a complete 180 from the Haith approach. They should have gone all in. KA could have found 1 or 2 Missouri boys that would be contributors on the roster this year. Instead, we had to wait 2 full seasons just to get to the point where KA has his own players.
