one of the biggest issues. If you essentially pay for everything more african american kids might play...i say might because i still don't think they like baseball as much as basketball.

The Royals started up a "select" baseball team and i'm told they pay for tournament fees but you still have to travel and the travel associated with this team will be out of sight because they supposedly go all over the country vs most of use to fairly local travel (within 5 hours)
