No doubt we wouldn't have gotten all those players for 4 years but 4 years with a Wall, Boogie, Bledsoe group, adding A Davis as a PF etc could have produced some amazing teams.
It's not traditional college basketball. They should be allowed to go pro out of high school if worthy or leave at any time thereafter. Never, should they be forced to stay at all any number of years.
Many teams have gotten one and done talents. Having the ability to improve them and push, buy into team concept is the struggle. Ego's.
