That guy should have never been hired at Mizzou, complete trash.

You are right in theory that kids typically build a deeper relationship with an assistant coach during the recruiting process before getting to know and committing to the head coach. Not sure how you would really regulate that as assistants seem to leave schools fairly regularly for various reasons. Players should be able to transfer without penalty if the coach they committed to leaves.
