signing with MU out of high school and was heavily recruited by Haith and Fuller until the Shapiro news broke. That caused us to have to change direction on a good number of recruits. Many considered him to be nearly wrapped up as an MU recruit at that point.

So its not accurate that there was no prior connections, and when he decided to transfer we were one of the first places he reached out to and we likely could have brought him in had we wanted.
Hopefully as a program we have more to sell than Kim's brief NBA experience. That doesn't seem to be a very solid recruiting angle given who we will likely be competing against for his services. I'd much prefer we just bring in a normal staff and use a newfound commitment to the program and the possibility of rebuilding from this cratering in addition to the ample playing time our depleted roster affords.
