Five-star Webster Groves basketball recruit Carte’Are Gordon, one of Missouri’s top high school prospects in the Class of 2018, will make an unofficial visit to Missouri this weekend.
The news was first reported by PowerMizzou.com’s Alex Schiffer.
Gordon, a 6-foot-8 power forward, had a productive summer. The forward was a key player for MOKAN Elite, which rolled through the Elite Youth Basketball League and took first at the Peach Jam in July.
In late July, he was part of the U.S. national team that took first in the U17 FIBA World Championship in Spain. Gordon was fourth on the team in scoring (11.6 points per game) in the tournament and hit 72 percent of his shots over seven games.
Gordon transferred from Vianney to Webster Groves last season, which caused him to miss a potential matchup against Tolton at last year’s MFA Oil/Break Time Shootout at Mizzou Arena.
According to Rivals.com, he is also fielding offers from Kansas, Illinois, Notre Dame and Purdue, among others.
