I don't think SLU is or was trying to dictate anything other than an intriguing event for both fan bases. The largest, by light years, Mizzou Alumni base/contingent would be interested & given proper attention. A big recruiting market for MU would, as well.

Just saying it would be a "marquee" matchup in terms of marketing & I mean "marquee" as it applies to the State/Region, the most influential & biggest, as far as both schools are concerned.
