easier than playing in the Big 12, especially when he can recruit better than pretty much any other team in his league. Even though the narrative of him being a terrible coach is repeated ad nauseam, he actually is a decent coach. He made 5 NCAA tourneys in his 8 years at OSU. You don't do that unless you are a good coach.
