On a car payment. My 2008 was $498.25 a month, and I did that making about $60K a year with a mortgage as a single father. I didnt blow money always going out to eat, shopping, blowing it on expensive drinks at bars.
I've owned this vehicle (4x4 SUV) for 8 1/2 years now. In two years when, my now oldest son, turns 16, I will turn over the keys to him and buy something new for myself.
People turn cars over every 3-5 years instead of maintaining them properly and getting the full lifespan out of them.
