The age of consent is 16 as long as the other person is under 18. The 'gentleman' was 31 and could not have sex legally with a minor.

§21‑1112. Age limitation on conviction for rape.

No person can be convicted of rape or rape by instrumentation on account of an act of sexual intercourse with anyone over the age of fourteen (14) years, with his or her consent, unless such person was over the age of eighteen (18) years at the time of such act.

OK, but I doubt a jury decision would answer the question. - JeffB MU - 9/7 12:29:42
You thinking nullification? (nm) - ummmm MU - 9/7 11:02:53
I am thinking dropped charges or acquittal - Spanky KU - 9/7 11:20:47
                    dropped charges aren't jury related (nm) - 90Tiger MU - 9/7 12:31:02

I can see where you come up with a bit of an analogy, but - JeffB MU - 9/7 11:53:01
I agree that nullification in this instance has nothing - ummmm MU - 9/7 13:25:30
Who DECIDES if a law has been broken? - Spanky KU - 9/7 11:48:03
