Liberal Democrats do engage in identity politics because the GOP makes it easy for them with their coordinated attack on minorities that center on relying on negative stereotypes and capitalizing on the worst fears and instincts of the GOP base.
I would prefer both parties to stop using identity politics and provide Americans with a cogent plan for growing this country economically. That's why I'm a frustrated moderate with two unattractive candidates to choose from.
