as it is about replacing what they would have been as Jr/Sr (replacing that productivity with freshmen.) Merely replacing them is getting back to 10 wins.

As you pointed out above, players improve from frosh to soph to junior to senior...we've missed that growth. As you point out, Gant progressed last year (led the team in blocks) - people don't view that as much of a loss...it would have been interesting to see him as a junior & we'll never really know the extent of impact of the shoulder injury had on his performance last year (Gant did lead the team in blocks - not sure anyone is going to block double digits this year....)
