But statistics say that players usually improve from freshman to sophomore to junior to senior year. So expecting the 7 players with college experience to be better than they were is less about hope, than following the normal improvement curve.
Woods is an example. He was a below average juco player his freshman year. His sophomore year he was much improved, with lots of HM offers.
Gant is another. He was completely lost defensively as a freshman, was actually decent defensively as a sophomore.
