You have probably answered this question before - so I guess I have short term memory. Why did Alden hire Kim Anderson? After Gregg Marshall did no one else want the job and/or was he afraid to go after someone like Howland?
- I reported at the time that university leadership expressed to Alden that they preferred Kim Anderson over other Plan B options after Marshall. I'm not convinced Alden agreed with that notion. When the search first began, literally the day after Haith left, I was given a strong indication that Anderson was not a serious candidate. Obviously that changed once campus/system leadership made their opinions heard.
