Nashville and Vegas as sister cities in terms of brand.

They are very different, despite the fact they both have lots of neon lights. Nashville has more normal and affluent people who are permanently rooted to the area.

Before I go any further, I'm noting that you're having the debate you want to have (location) which wasn't the primary target of my post (team name).

In regards to your avid fan points -- there is only one US city that I'd consider for an NHL team right now, that's Seattle and they'd get 5k Canadiens (easy) to buy season tickets, on top of what that local market would do.

And I like the name Wild. Predators on the other hand, holy christ that is bad.

Blues/Blue jackets was kind of stupid. And for the Predators to have the same color scheme as their closest divisional opponent was dumb too. See thoughts on Bettman. The NHL has a track record of being the worst run pro sports league. Let's not use past mistakes as reasons to make more.

The Blackhawks are an iconic brand. Having another NHL team with the name Hawks is just stupid and disrespectful to the history of the league.
