Huge enrollment, access to Florida for a network, and would fit in nicely with Cincy and/or Memphis. The Big 12 would be best served to add 4 schools from 4 new states and finally create a lucrative (for them) network.
If they added Colorado State, Central Florida, Memphis and Cincy, you'd add the polls toons of Florida, Colorado, Ohio and Tennessee for a conference network footprint. That would automatically vault them ahead of the ACC and the PAC, and would rival the B1G and SEC.
Houston makes zero sense from a revenue perspective. It would end up costing the conference to add them, so of course Texas will push for them so they maintain a big enough block of votes under conference rules to block anything the majority of the conference wants that Texas disagrees with.
This is why the Big 12 can no longer have nice things.
So glad we are gone from that small minded cesspool.
