Both Houston and Cincy have potential. Admission to the Big XII opens the door wider for their programs to grow and improve.

The Big XII is not likely to entice any current Power Five programs to to leave their current conference for the Big XII. The inertia is simply to great. Therefore, it has to look at Group of Five programs that have the potential to grow into good Power Five programs. Houston and Cincy are in the category.

The Big XII would not be taking Houston and Cincy for what they are now, but for what they may be in 15 - 20 years.
