Houston goes to Big12. Does it hurt Texas AM?
Houston's a cool brand.
It today's world it doesn't matter as much about history unless you're talking about the real blue bloods of college football.
They're in a large urban city, full of nightlife and cool things, as opposed to a ghey outpost in the middle of the country.
Houston's rise as a P5 school will become many average Houstonian's favorite college football team.
On the field Houston can capitalize on the downfall of Baylor while AM remains stuck behind Bama, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Arkansas.
I can't imagine they're excited about this development in College Station.
