She did not "abruptly leave a year early". And therefore does not belong in the group of players you are lumping together and saying: "look at all the smoke, there must be a fire". And neither does Ashtin Stephens, of course.
Kingsley was one of my favorite players here. Hit .271 in 2012 as a freshman but was really hot at the end of the season, had high hopes for 2013. Was hitting .327 in 2013 and tore the ACL in her right knee against Arkansas and missed the rest of the season. Then tore the ACL again in 2014 preseason workouts and missed the entire 2014 season. Injured her knee again in Feb 2015 in the B&G game, came back and gutted out her redshirt junior year of 2015, somehow played in 26 games and hit .280.
However by the end of that season she decided not to return for her senior season. She was honored on Senior Day in 2015 along with that years seniors, even though she was eligible to play another year in 2016. She was quoted in a newspaper article as saying there was just so much pain in the knee that it's taken all the fun out of softball for her.
Why in the world would you say she abruptly left a year early and imply it was something sinister connected to supposed verbal abuse by EE?
