Panic move that cost them a season of player control.

He should have stayed down and learned the trade. You said below that he was tearing up AAA. I don't think you can tear up anything with less than 50 at bats.

Yes, he was probably too good for AAA pitching but he was not there long enough to even hit a slump he needed to work out of.

Hopefully he recovers from this and becomes the player he was in college and the minors this season. But the Royals need to be careful with him right now because if his confidence is crushed it is really tough to recover that.
